Emilio P Fiaschi
(1858 - 1941)
Emilio P. Fiaschi was born in Volterra in 1858. He studied at the Accademia di belle Arti in Florence from 1883-1885 and followed in the great tradition of Florentine sculptors working with Carrara marble. Fiaschi produced portrait busts; the Commune of Volterra commissioned him to produce a bust of Ricciarelli, as well as allegorical works and works inspired by the Antique.
Fiaschi’s sculpture is characterised by a fine sense of detail and composition and distinguished by a patina achieved only by sculptors with extraordinary finesse and technique.
