Died in Florence, 25th August 1920.
Pompeo Massani was a painter of figures and landscapes. He began studying at an early age and became a pupil at the Beaux-Arts of Florence and studied under the celebrated painter Michele Gordigiani (1830-1909).
He made his debut in Florence in 1879. During his lifetime his works became extremely popular and he held exhibitions at Rovigo, Genes and many other places.
His works can be found in museums and galleries throughout the world.
